The quarterly Owners Retreats and Strategy Sessions bring store owners from NAIBA and SIBA together to network and share information. Strategy Sessions are virtual meetings held in January, May, and October, focusing on a specific topic. Retreats are in-person and held during the Annual Conference.

The NVNR Annual Conference and Tradeshow for booksellers members of both NAIBA and SIBA organizations serves sixteen states in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast United States. The conference travels within the combined NAIBA and SIBA regions and is open to all SIBA and NAIBA members.

NVNR’s Virtual Programming includes its signature online event, Publicity Speed Dating, an invaluable opportunity for bookstores to raise their visibility with publishers. In the wake of opening NVNR 2026 for registrations, several people have reported that the conference hotel room block has sold out. However, only the pre-event night of July 31st is currently unavailable. Rooms are available for all the nights of the conference: August 2-5.
NVNR has created a wait list for conference attendees who can't reserve rooms on the dates they need. Attendees can use this wait list form to request extensions on their hotel reservations within the conference dates. The wait list will be provided to the hotel, which will do their best to meet all requests. The NVNR Team works closely with the hotel to ensure room availability. Over 65 booksellers from 43 different bookstores have already registered for the New Voices New Rooms conference since it opened on April 2.
Because NVNR serves bookstores from such a large region -- almost the entire eastern seaboard and beyond -- the NVNR team works hard to make the conference affordable even for booksellers who have to travel lengthy distances to attend:
Early Bird pricing: Full event passes are $250 through the month of April. The price goes up to $300 on May 1.
