The quarterly Owners Retreats and Strategy Sessions bring store owners from NAIBA and SIBA together to network and share information. Strategy Sessions are virtual meetings held in January, May, and October, focusing on a specific topic. Retreats are in-person and held during the Annual Conference.

Exhibitor Sales and Attendee Registrations are now open for the 2026 New Voices New Rooms (NVNR) conference in Baltimore, Maryland from August 2-5. The conference will be held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel in the Harbor East neighborhood, and accessible to Fells Point and the inner harbor area.
The NVNR conference brings together hundreds of booksellers from the South and Mid-Atlantic regions, from Louisiana to New York, Arkansas to Washington, DC. Produced in partnership between the New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association (NAIBA) and the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA), NVNR has a reputation for innovative programming, title discovery, and bookseller/publisher networking opportunities.

NVNR 2026 Publicity Speed Dating (Virtual Edition)

There is still limited space available for the upcoming NVNR Publicity Speed Dating virtual event on May 7. Bookstores interested in expanding their events programs will have a chance to pitch their stores to a Zoom room of publicists from both large and small publishing houses.
Cost to attend is $35. Bookstore must be members of their association and have a publicity kit to share with publicists.
