The very first bookseller conference I attended was NVNR. I arrived on my own, not knowing many people in the industry and unsure of what to expect. Coming from a corporate background, I was hoping to find something different—and I did. NVNR remains my favorite conference. It reminds me why independent bookselling is so special. NVNR is a place to learn, share ideas, build relationships, and be inspired by people who care deeply about books and their communities. I’m excited to reconnect with friends, meet new booksellers, and see what inspiration awaits in Baltimore. See you there!
