2021 NVNR Publisher & Vendor Partner Opportunities

What is new for 2021?

  • The Exhibit Hall is now the Publisher & Vendor Gallery! Gone are the days when working a book show meant setting out a pile of books on a 6×2 table in a cavernous hall with a bad sound system!  NVNR recognizes our publisher and vendor supporters are not simply “exhibitors,” but our partners in creating a stellar event.  The Gallery is designed to prioritize making real connections between our booksellers and you as an NVNR partner.
  • Pre-recorded Interludes: 5-10 minute breaks between programs of pre-recorded poetry, creative play, or wellness tips.
  • Non-conflicting schedule:  This year education sessions are scheduled not to conflict with author events, allowing booksellers to attend all the author events they want to.
  • Galley room: The Galley Room (aka “Readers of the Last ARC”) will be open for the entire show, and all booksellers will have access to it. Publishers will receive a single list at the end of the conference with all bookseller ARC requests.
  • Simplified Attendance:  This year’s NVNR will not require publishers or attendees to keep track of separate log-in links for each event. There will be a single show sign-on for most events.

Publisher & Vendor Gallery Studio Space (Required)

Each partner receives a “studio” in the gallery.  A studio space includes your logo featured in our mobile-friendly Publisher & Vendor Gallery. As an NVNR program partner, your studio will also receive a feature piece in each association’s newsletter in the weeks prior to the conference.

  • Standard: $500:  You have the option to either build your own studio spot on your website or upload your content [link] to NVNR for a standard studio page on our event hub.
  • Customized: $700: NVNR will work with you to create a studio page with expanded options that better meet your goals.

What you decide to put in your studio space is up to you. Because the emphasis of this year’s show is building connections between booksellers and their industry partners, NVNR highly recommends including some or all of the following:

  • Contact info to make an appointment with you during or after the show, and all sales rep contact info for SIBA & NAIBA territories
  • Show specials and stock offers (discounts, book bundles, special shipping, etc).
  • Event grids and upcoming promotions
  • Links for stores to create a new account
  • Information introducing new authors and access to shareable content.

A LA CARTE EVENT LIST
A Publisher & Vendor Gallery Studio Space reservation is required for participation or author presenters in any NVNR event.

Featured/Premier Events (Meals & Keynotes):
$750/author plus ARCs for all bookseller attendees

There are 4 author opportunities at each meal event; a keynote may contain multiple presenters. NVNR will contact you to discuss the best fit for your author(s).

  •  Keynotes: Opening and closing keynotes are on Monday morning and Friday afternoon.
  •  Meal events: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner events are Tuesday through Thursday. 

Themed Author Events (Author Panels, Pre-recorded events, other):
$500/author plus ARCS for all bookseller attendees

Themed author events have a variety of formats, with 3-4 authors at each event. They will be hosted Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Interludes: Pre-recorded content up to 10 minutes.  $350/Interlude

Promoted with the same visibility and social media presence as the live events, Interludes offer brief, intensely focused moments in the program with a built-in audience. We’re particularly interested in poetry readings, creative play (journaling, drawing/illustrating, idea sparking), and wellness topics, but welcome your ideas. Give us a glimpse of an illustrator in their studio, a writer in their writing space reading a favorite passage of their work, or an author walking outside, or visiting a library or other setting that inspires them. Because we’re virtual, We have the opportunity to have fun and spotlight the author / illustrator / book theme in memorable ways, so let’s get creative!

Rep Picks and Editor Buzz: $250 per ten-minute slot

By far some of the most popular events at NVNR! The schedule allows for three Editor Buzz sessions, and six Rep Picks events, so space is limited!

Show Box: $300 per item 

Inclusion of one item in a box sent to all registered booksellers prior to Show. The show box was a huge hit in 2020 with booksellers!
