This year NVNR has created a $1000 Buyers Raffle to encourage stores to place orders on site. Exhibitors give out a raffle ticket to the store when they place an order. The more orders you place, the better your store’s chance of winning a $1000 cash prize.
Booksellers can view the list of companies that will be on the exhibit floor at the conference. Companies are added as they register, so when planning your 4th quarter purchasing be sure to check for the most up to date list.
Use the exhibitor list to create preliminary order lists in Edelweiss, which you can adjust as you meet authors at the conference, or see what books are Sales Rep favorites during the fast and fun "Rep Picks" sessions.
Booksellers will be able to schedule meetings with many of the exhibitors in advance through the event app. Coming to the Exhibit hall prepared will make those meetings go quickly and smoothly.
Insider tip: bring along a sheet or roll of company return address stickers to use on raffle tickets, order sheets, and new account forms. Your hands and wrists will thank you!
Also, be prepared to open new accounts. There are always new, first-time exhibitors at NVNR. In 2026, especially the vendor list has a number of new sideline/gift companies interested in the indie bookstore market.
Put together a folder of the materials you need to open new accounts. Have copies of your credit references and banking information; business cards and store contact information. If you want to open an account on terms instead of prepaid, then having a report of your store’s sales information for the past year will be helpful.
