Beyond Performative Equity: Creating Authentic Organizational Change

Jerod Q. Grant of Cultures Connecting returns to New Voices New Rooms to offer DEI training for booksellers. The focus this year will be on creating authentic organizational change that is meaningful, transformative, and lasting.

The training is open to all attendees of New Voices New Rooms, but booksellers must register separately for the event.


About Jerod Grant

Jerod was born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in Everett, Washington. He has over 10 years of experience in higher education and worked as the Director of Diversity & Equity at Everett Community College (EvCC). While at EvCC he was a member of the Washington state Multicultural Student Services Directors Council that created equity-based initiatives for 34 community and technical colleges. Jerod has partnered with K-12, colleges/universities, nonprofit, government, and corporate organizations. He has an engaging person-centered approach. Jerod has had the opportunity to facilitate and keynote across the US and in internationally. He is currently a consultant with Cultures Connecting and teaches a social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion course at a university in Seattle, Washington. He has a masters degree in social work with a concentration in children, youth, and families. He is a writer, a micro/macro thinker, and new father to a beautiful daughter named Marley.
